These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Outbound mobile application ("the App"), operated by Outbound ("we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use Outbound. By using the App you represent that you meet this requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's permission to use the App.
2. Your Account
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately at support@outboundtravel.app if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.
You may not create an account on behalf of someone else or use another person's account without permission.
3. Email Access
Outbound offers an optional feature that connects to your Gmail or Microsoft Outlook account to automatically extract travel booking confirmations. By enabling this feature, you:
- Grant Outbound read-only access to your inbox via the official Gmail API or Microsoft Graph API
- Authorise us to send the content of booking-related emails to Anthropic's Claude API for the purpose of extracting structured booking data
- Acknowledge that this connection can be revoked at any time from your Google or Microsoft account settings, or from within the App
Connecting your email account is entirely optional. The App's core functionality is available without it.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use Outbound to:
- Violate any applicable law or regulation
- Infringe the intellectual property rights of others
- Upload or transmit any content that is unlawful, harmful, abusive, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its infrastructure
- Scrape, reverse-engineer, or extract data from the App by automated means
- Use the App to spam or harass other users
- Impersonate any person or entity
5. User Content
You retain ownership of the content you create within Outbound, including trip notes, annotations, and recommendations. By adding content to the App you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to store, display, and (where you have enabled social features) share that content with other users in accordance with your settings.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit and must ensure it does not violate the rights of any third party.
6. AI-Generated Content
Outbound uses AI to parse booking emails and, in some views, to suggest activities. AI-generated content may be inaccurate or incomplete. You should always verify important travel details against your original booking confirmations. We are not liable for any losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content within the App.
7. Social Features
Outbound includes optional social features that allow you to follow other users and share travel recommendations. By sharing a recommendation, you make it visible to your followers. You can remove shared content at any time. We reserve the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
The Outbound app, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the App without our prior written consent.
9. Availability and Changes
We aim to keep Outbound available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App or any feature at any time with or without notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time; continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
Outbound is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, that booking data extracted from emails will be accurate or complete, or that the App will meet your specific requirements.
Outbound is a personal productivity tool. It is not a booking platform and has no affiliation with any airline, hotel, or travel provider. All bookings remain solely between you and the relevant travel provider.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to missed flights, incorrect booking information, or loss of data.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid to us in the twelve months preceding the claim, or £100, whichever is greater.
12. Termination
You may delete your account at any time from within the App. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use of the App poses a risk to other users or to us.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
